Origin
Axis was formed by lawyers and businesspeople who brought together the capital, relationships and experience they had built over more than twenty years of corporate transactions, investments and major projects. The company is controlled by its shareholders and is independent of any financial group.
Portfolio
Axis organizes its portfolio around four complementary investment theses, each with a distinct approach. The first, and the current priority, is venture capital and technology: early-stage companies and applications of artificial intelligence to the businesses Axis knows from the inside. The second is intellectual property built to scale: software, proprietary technologies and other assets with commercial applications and licensing potential. The third is stakes in growing companies, minority or controlling, with a role in governance and support for management. The fourth is real estate and structural capital: real assets with predictable income, which anchor the portfolio and fund the other areas of investment. The mix combines stability and cash generation with exposure to growth, helping the holding company navigate different cycles without depending on a single sector. The allocation to each thesis shifts over time; today, the priority is technology.
Way of Working
Axis brings a consistent way of working to each sector. Its partners combine legal training with management experience to structure deals quickly, identify risks early and see negotiations through. The company keeps its team small and responsive, with the flexibility to contribute capital, structure, management or a combination suited to the opportunity.
